Although her first degree was in the field of Physical Education, Cristina Duarte has always been interested in arts. Ever since her childhood, she would amuse herself (and amaze her parents) with beautiful handmade creations; sewing, painting on porcelain and ceramics to name a few. Following her heart and her talents she re-enrolled in college and graduated with another degree; this time in Interior Design.

It was through this training that she recognized her calling was with the medium of glass. Her extraordinary talent has resulted in the creation of her own signature line and ultimately the prestigious ISQ seal of quality. Since 2005 she has been invited to include her works in one of the most important Brazilian National Design Fairs - CRAFT DESIGN. Her work can be found with collectors on all five continents.
